My group studies how cancer cells dysregulate cell cycle progression and DNA damage response. My research is focused on RNA and RNA-binding proteins, including their role in tumorigenesis and intercellular communication. The main goal is to gain insights on their biology, which we instrumentally use to develop new therapeutic approaches. My lab also has considerable experience in the use of CRISPR/Cas9 as a tool in editing endogenous genes to study their functions.
