Qingfei Zheng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at The Ohio State University, as well as a member of the Center for Cancer Metabolism and the Translational Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James. The lab team focuses on both basic and translational research in cancer biology. We aim to apply chemical and synthetic biology approaches toward studying cancer metabolism, epigenetics and the tumor microbiome for the development of personalized cancer therapeutics. Our long-term goal is to understand the mechanisms of cancer-related metabolic disorders and epigenetic dysregulation, as well as to develop new cancer therapeutics at the atomic level. I have authored or co-authored articles in such peer-reviewed journals as Nature Chemical Biology, Nature Communications, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, Cell Chemical Biology, Protein & Cell, and ACS Chemical Biology. I am also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for Cancer Research and the Cancer Epigenetics Society.
