You're invited to attend this year's university-wide Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition hosted by the Graduate School. This competition gives top students, postdocs and some of last year’s Hayes Advanced Research Forum winners, an opportunity to present their own research in three minutes or less. The participants at this event have already gone through a competition and were selected by their college or selection committee to advance and compete at the university level.
Congratulations to the first-place winner of the 2025 MCDB 3MT Ayushi Das who will be participating in this competition.
The 3MT is a global phenomenon that creates a professional development opportunity that includes compelling oration of research and its relevance, in just 3 minutes to support development of communicating that research to a non-specialist audience.
The Ohio State University 3MT finalist will be selected at this competition and advance to the next (regional) level, representing The Ohio State University and showcasing their research. Competing at the regional, national and perhaps international level can bring visibility, not only to the university, but also to the participant as a researcher and their specific research, since today over 200 universities from over 80 countries participate in this competition.
The event will provide light refreshments and an opportunity to learn more about the participants' research.
