Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I am from Bluffton, OH and earned a BS in Biochemistry from Indiana Wesleyan University, where I worked with Dr. Mark Asnicar studying regulation of nutrient metabolism. During a summer REU, I also worked with Dr. Scott Briggs at Purdue University to investigate mechanisms of antifungal drug resistance. I am currently working under Dr. Matthew Gorr at OSU to characterize the differences between left and right ventricular fibroblast activation to better understand pathological cardiac remodeling at the molecular level.
