Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

"I am an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery - Division of Surgical Oncology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medica Center and a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James.

As a biomedical engineering and cancer researcher, my research brings together quantitative genetic engineering approaches with sophisticated models of pancreatic and lung cancer. My lab develops and applies cutting-edge tools, including platforms for in vivo CRISPR screening and patient-derived organoids, to uncover druggable vulnerabilities and drivers of progression.

Specifically, my lab is focused on (1) developing next-generation mouse models for pancreatic and lung cancer research that incorporate CRISPR screening technology, (2) identifying synergistic drug combinations in KRAS mutated tumors, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), (3) developing and utilizing patient derived models, including patient-derived organoids (PDOs) to improve our understanding of drug response, and (4) understanding the biology of pancreatic cysts, including KRAS and GNAS co-mutated Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasms (IPMNs)."
