2015 Presidential Fellow

Dalen Fultz

Congratulations to Dalen Fultz for receiving a Presidential Fellowship in the Fall 2015 competition! The Presidential Fellowship is the highest award given by the Graduate School for outstanding scholarly work. This year, only 24 fellowships were awarded among 21 graduate programs.

Dalen began his graduate career at MCDB in the Summer of 2011, as a prestigious University Fellow based on his outstanding achievements as an undergraduate. As a first-year graduate student, he continued to distinguish himself and was awarded the Cellular, Molecular, and Biochemical Sciences Program (CMBP) Training Grant Fellowship, another highly competitive honor. Dalen is a member of Dr. Keith Slotkin’s lab in the Department of Molecular Genetics, researching mechanisms used by cells to identify and silence new transposable elements.
