MCDB Alumnus, Greetchen Diaz, was recently elected into the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) Board of Directors. The American Society for Microbiology is composed of over 50,000 scientists and health professionals that work to promote and advance the microbial sciences.

Greetcheen graduated from Dr. Anita Hopper's lab in 2006, and is now at Puerto Rico Science Technology and Research Trust changing the way science is done in Puerto Rico (and the US).
