In the Coutellier lab we are using state-of-the-art behavioral neuroscience methods to study postnatal brain development in mouse models. Specifically, our goal is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying adolescent maturation of inhibitory circuits in the prefrontal cortex, and the important of these maturational processes for the acquisition of adult executive and social functions.
