Dr. Liang is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Ohio State University. She has established a research laboratory dedicated to investigating immune response and tissue remodeling in the context of surgical implants. Her research focuses on understanding how perioperative glucose control and hyperglycemic memory in immune cells influences surgical and implant outcomes. Her research bridges basic science and clinical practice with a special emphasis on women’s health and patients with diabetes. In addition to her scientific work, Dr. Liang is passionate about mentoring the new generations of scientists.
