Our laboratory seeks to understand how post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression shapes cell identity and function in the cardiovascular system. We study how RNA processing, RNA-binding proteins, and other post-transcriptional mechanisms regulate cellular reprogramming, fibrosis, and cardiovascular remodeling by integrating omics approaches, stem cell and cellular reprogramming models, and computational analysis. Our ultimate goal is to uncover the mechanisms underlying these processes and leverage these insights to advance cardiovascular regeneration and repair.
