My research employs vertebrate models, such as genetic mouse models and human iPSCs, to uncover genetic pathways and environmental factors that influence cardiovascular development, function, regeneration, and disease. My interests particularly focus on the role of mRNA modifications, specifically cardiac m6A methyltransferases, in cardiovascular development and cardiac stem cell biology, as well as their potential implications in pediatric cardiomyopathy.
